A little about me
I was born and raised in Campbell County, and reside
there still today. I have been married to my husband for
over 8 years, and we have 2 children: a son who is 6, and a daughter
who is 4. I began working for Barleycorn’s at the age of 13, and have
become passionate about the foodservice industry
over the last 21 years.
I watched my parents build and run a successful
catering business out of our home, which eventually became
the catering division of Barleycorn’s. I have a true love for helping
people create the perfect menu for their special event!

What do you like most
I always tell people, “There’s never a dull moment!” and that is what keeps me coming back for more.
No two days, events, or shifts are the same, and I love the variety. I also love the people!

Who/What inspires you?
Themes! I love a themed party!
What is your favorite meal?
As a kid, it was always my mom’s Tuna Casserole. Now, I love Roast Tenderloin of beef béarnaise, almost all things seafood, and Barleycorn’s Doc Style Chicken Wings with Bleu Cheese!
What are your hobbies?
I love to explore breweries and wineries with my little family on a Sunday afternoon. I also thoroughly enjoy hosting neighborhood dinners and game nights!
What is the most memorable event you have worked?
A wedding we catered at Elk Creek Vineyards for long-time friends of mine. It was an incredibly beautiful place,
and the menu was divine! Everything down to the signature drinks we created was picture perfect and special!
In reality, any event where I can be creative and customize a menu to fit the client’s needs/desires is ideal for me!

Your servers Hannah and Justin were the best. They arrived at the time expected, set up everything quickly and were “ready to go”, even ahead of time. They were so courteous, friendly and made the food line a joy.
The food? It was delicious. Just the right combination and extremely plentiful! A special “thanks” for the extra food tins that were provided. The Sisters of Notre Dame who were our guests were very happy to go back to the Heights with 11 food tins!

Barleycorn’s catering was amazing! I am very picky and had my heart set on involving queso in our wedding reception dinner. I don’t think they had queso on their catering menu at the time. They got very creative with my request and came up with a delicious stuffed chicken dish smothered in queso. It was phenomenal! They also created some of the best Mac & cheese I’ve ever had. Their catering is hands down the best!
My mother-in-law also surprised us halfway through our reception with a late night queso, soft pretzel, and chip bar. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious! Such a great surprise 😋
